Cleaning Mode ON: Steps for System Maintenance

Step 1: Looking at the User’s Manual
Before any maintenance, look at your user’s manual carefully.
Step 2: Unplug the Reverse Osmosis System
Unplug your RO system from its source.
Step 3: Disconnect and Depressurize Properly
Firstly, turn off the RO system feed line’s valve. Close this valve properly. Secondly, fully depressurize the tank from the RO faucet.
Step 4: Start Cleaning Your Filter Housing
Use a filter wrench to clean those filter housings. Next, let go of those old filters. Finally, use a damp and clean cloth to clean the inside of the housing.
Step 5: Start the Sanitizing Process
The inside of the RO system contains bacteria and unwanted impurities. So, it’s important to sanitize this area. Look at your user manual for a proper sanitizing solution.
Step 6: Rinse Your Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System
Let those filter housings remain empty. Now, turn on the water supply. After that, allow 10 minutes for the system to flush through the faucet. Finally, as you see the water running clear, turn off the faucet.
Step 7: Replace the Membrane and Those Filters
As the rinsing ends, start installing new membranes and filters.
Step 8: Pressurize and Reconnect Your RO System

Step 9: Flush Your RO System
In the last step, open that faucet and start flushing the RO system. But do this after fully pressurizing the system. Keep flushing for 10 minutes. As a result, you will remove those air bubbles.
